About Après Sky

Travel isn’t just about the destination. It’s how the journey is designed.

With over a decade of solo travel experience and a suitcase full of stories, I am proud to launch Après Sky, a place where you can explore vetted journeys, find inspiration, and work with me directly to plan your next trip.

I dreamed up Après Sky as a way to share my passion for travel design. Design that isn’t forced, doesn’t follow the rules, and prioritizes slow, meandering days over guidebook-packed itineraries. It’s a safe space for travelers, especially solo ones, to find the inspiration and tools to design something beautiful, personal, and fun.

The Vetted page is a curated portfolio of trips I have taken and loved, offering a peek into places, routes, and experiences worth repeating. Part mood board, part blueprint, Vetted is not a guidebook. It’s a first draft for you to copy, edit, and revise.

Visit the Consults page if you are looking to elevate your plans with my insight, perspective, and ideas. Together, we will make confident choices, avoid the fluff, and bring more joy to the way you design travel.

Follow along on social media for even more inspiration, behind-the-scenes travel planning, and a whole lot of fun!

Katherine Scott Bazley

I’m Katherine, author, traveler, and Editor of Après Sky.

With over a decade of solo travel experience and a suitcase full of stories, I am proud to launch Après Sky, a place where you can explore vetted journeys, get inspiration for your travels, and work with me directly to plan your next voyage.

With a love for the little things, a dash of humor (actually a lot), and a knack for finding the hidden corners, I’m here to help you find your own inspiration to design trips that speak to you.

My travel obsessions are as tactile as they are sentimental: collected postcards, yellow Langenscheidt dictionaries, and worn copies of The Little Prince in every language I can find. My bookshelves are stacked with 1970s National Geographics, and my camera roll is a trove of street corners, market stalls, and golden hours. I’m hypnotized by the Tyrrhenian Sea and every village that spots it, and simply can’t get enough espresso made in a Bialetti moka pot.

I’m the author of Teetering in the Unknown and currently deep into a new project (still under wraps, but worth staying tuned for). When I’m not hopping between countries, you’ll find me planning my next trip, mood boarding life, or lingering over a long dinner with good wine and even better company.

I hope you stick around and find the inspiration to make your next adventure designed just for you!
